Whether it is an upgrade to a 4K edition, a reliable Blu-ray, or a special edition Box Set, this list has something for everyone!

VENOM ($29.99)

While VENOM is not the movie that many of us hoped for or expected, it definitely proved that Sony's plans to make SPIDER-MAN movies without Spider-man could actually work. Hitting shelves before Christmas is one of the fastest turnarounds from big screen to small I have seen, but this is a great gift for the Marvel fan in your life who likes their anti-heroes on the creepy and funny side.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT ($20.96)

Tom Cruise doesn't show any signs of slowing down and director Christopher McQuarrie proves here that he deserved to be the first return director in this franchise's history. Chock full of behind the scenes showing how those insane stunts were pulled off, this is a great disc to add to any action afficionado's collection.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 6 Movie Collection ($76.96)

If you know someone who just purchased a 4K television and are unsure what to watch on it, here is the set for them. With all six Tom Cruise films remastered in Ultra HD, this set delivers over twelve hours of stellar action and thrills plus a bunch of special features and commentary that will keep you busy for days.

THE PREDATOR ($24.99)

Reaction was divided on the latest PREDATOR film, but fans of the franchise were excited to finally see the iconic alien hunter back on the big screen for the first time in years. With a great ensemble cast and a story that is way funnier than it has any right to be, THE PREDATOR is coming to your home at just the right time.

PREDATOR 4-FILM COLLECTION ($54.99)

Like the MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE set, this is another great addition to any collection. Aside from the classic first movie, you get the underrated PREDATORS as well as the newest entry, THE PREDATOR. Yeah, PREDATOR 2 is here as well, but don't hold that against the set. That movie has some fun qualities, too.

MANDY ($14.96)

One of the best movies of the year is also one of the most original, unique, daring, challenging, and weird movies of all time. Nicolas Cage gives his best performance in years in a movie that defies genre and comparison. If you have not seen MANDY, don't wait for Christmas. Go buy it right now.

HEREDITARY ($19.99)

Every year, we get at least one horror movie that is deemed the successor to films like ROSEMARY'S BABY and THE EXORCIST. This year's is HEREDITARY and it is a worthy addition to the shortlists of greatest horror films of all time. Unsettling, weird, and very scary, this is one of the most impressive directorial debuts I have ever seen. Not the most Christmas friendly viewing, but a great gift for anyone who loves brilliant cinema.

PIXAR SHORT FILMS COLLECTION: VOLUME 3 ($22.99)

Pixar remains a powerhouse of animation. While their feature films have dipped in quality in recent years, their short films are still vibrant, original, and showcase the next wave of talented directors the studio has to offer. If you don't already have the first two volumes, I encourage you to buy those as well. This third edition has some good stuff that will please children and adults alike.

SHARKNADO 1-6 COMPLETE COLLECTION ($24.96)

These movies are really, really stupid. I would never shell out money for something I can see for free on SYFY, but having all of the SHARKNADO movies available to watch at any given time is too good an offer to pass up. They may be stupid, but they are stupid fun. Plus, if you hate THE MEG as much as some people, this is a great alternative purchase.

TRAIN TO BUSAN ($14.99)

If you haven't heard of this movie, you are missing out on one of the best zombie moves to come out in years. A huge hit in South Korea, TRAIN TO BUSAN has been building buzz via word of mouth in North America. Before the inevitable English remake, check out the original film. You won't be disappointed.

CRIMSON PEAK ($34.99)

Guillermo Del Toro's gothic horror film came out several years ago, but this new collector's set is a must own. Aside from the gorgeous packaging you can see below, this special edition has a ton of special features that show the attention to detail that the production crew put into this period drama. Well acted, beautifully shot, and unlike most modern horror films, CRIMSON PEAK is a must own.

THE SHIELD – THE COMPLETE SERIES ($137.29)

If it weren't for THE SHIELD, we may never have gotten SONS OF ANARCHY or even the great and talented Walton Goggins. Compiling every season of the FX cop/crime series, this set is a great gift for the binge-watcher in your life. Michael Chiklis is scary good as Vic Mackey and you will quickly see why this series appears on so many best of lists.

MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO – 30TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION ($44.99)

Studio Ghibli uses the title character from this film as their mascot for a reason. This movie is pure movie magic that crosses language barriers to appeal to all ages. This special edition commemorates the 30th anniversary of the film with an all new high definition transfer as well as new features not included in prior sets.

SHARP OBJECTS ($34.99)

Another series you could easily binge on demand right now, this Blu-ray is worth owning for the special features alone. Amy Adams gives the best performance of her career in a mystery thriller that is superior to author Gillian Flynn's more popular GONE GIRL. This series will make your skin crawl in the best way possible as it all comes down to a shocking final episode.

BATMAN: THE COMPLETE ANIMATED SERIES ($99.96)

A landmark in not only animation but also in superhero history, BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES may be the purest distillation of Bob Kane's dark knight that has ever been made. With the iconic voice talents and retro animation style, this series is collected for the first time on Blu-ray with some fun Funko figures. I can already hear the rousing theme song!

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD ($22.97)

Through his life and career, director George A. Romero had to watch his landmark film get released over and over in crappy public domain versions that never did the film justice. Finally, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD gets the Criterion treatment and an all new high definition transfer. This is the definitive set and you will never need to own a different one. A masterpiece of horror and filmmaking in general, this is one of my favorite entries on this year's list.

THE MATRIX TRILOGY ($54.93)

Whether you dislike the second or third films (or both), owning the complete MATRIX series in 4K is absolutely worth it. The Wachowskis' science fiction films revolutionized special effects and gave us an entirely new look at technology. Plus, who doesn't want to watch that Zion orgy scene in high definition?

2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY ($41.99)

Released earlier this year on IMAX screens, this new transfer of Stanley Kubrick's science fiction classic is somehow more beautiful than before. With new special features, this is just an amazing disc. A great gift for the film buffs in your life or even those who have yet to experience the mind-altering talents of Kubrick.

TRANSFORMERS: THE ULTIMATE 5-MOVIE COLLECTION ($69.99)

I know there are TRANSFORMERS fans out there who love each and every Michael Bay film. After the first movie, the franchise has resulted in diminishing returns. Okay, the Battle of Chicago sequence is still badass and may be the only saving grace in this set. Oh hell, seeing Michael Bay's destruction porn clearer than ever may be a nice way to push your speakers and TV to the limits this Christmas.

INCREDIBLES 2 ($22.96)

Brad Bird managed to make a sequel to THE INCREDIBLES that is not only a worthy follow-up but comes very close to being as good as the original. There is still an argument to be made that the first movie is one of the best superhero movies ever made and now this movie could be one of the best superhero sequels of all time.

WESTWORLD SEASON 2: THE DOOR ($44.95)

If you are one of the few people out there who have not been sucked into the labyrinth that is the mysteries of Westworld, here is your chance to jump in. More complicated than the first season, this second run of episodes reveals more sides to the park and the various characters inhabiiting it.

ZOMBIE ($33.03)

Released with three different covers, Lucio Fulci's unofficial sequel to DAWN OF THE DEAD is a gory masterpiece. If you have a horror buff or zombie fan on your list, this will definitely be a gift they will love. So insanely violent and over the top gory, this movie delivers eye trauma, neck trauma, and an underwater fight between a zombie and shark. Seriously!

THE CRITTERS COLLECTION ($69.97)

Last year there was a very cool PHANTASM box set released for the holidays and it made my inner 80s fan geek out. This year, we get a cool set from Scream Factory bringing together all of the CRITTERS films. Like hairy testicle demons, the titular monsters in this franchise look cute on the box but they are murderous and diabolical. A fun series that is both cheesy and hilariously gory and fun.

STAR TREK DISCOVERY – SEASON ONE ($35.69)

If you were not willing to pony up the dough to pay for CBS All Access just to watch this new Star Trek series, you are in luck! One of the best additions to the Trek franchise in years, Discovery is the first truly serial Star Trek drama. Bringing iconic Original Series characters back while modernizing the narrative, this is a great gift for the fan waiting for season two to premiere.

BLACKKKLANSMAN ($24.99)

Spike Lee's collaboration with Jordan Peele is also one of his best movies in years. Led by excellent performances from John David Washington and Adam Driver as well as an awards-worthy turn by Topher Grace, BLACKKKLANSMAN is disturbingly hilarious and very timely. One of the year's best.

CREEPSHOW ($39.93)

An all-time favorite of mine, this anthology collaboration from Stephen King and George Romero is a nice throwback to the era of EC Comics. Fun and completely over the top, CREEPSHOW has stories that are scary, somethat are funny, and some that are just creepy. This new edition comes in a very nice package with some newly updated special features.

MAMA MIA! 2-MOVIE COLLECTION ($25.49)

If you are not a fan of movie musicals or the music of ABBA, you likely have someone in your life who is. Though if you hate on MAMA MIA!, you probably haven't given these movies a chance. Are they the best films of the year? No, but you are not going to find many movies that has as much heart or as much fun as these do.

SORRY TO BOTHER YOU ($19.96)

A festival hit, this movie is not for everyone but everyone should see it. Lakeith Stanfield and Tessa Thompson prove that they can carry any type of film with their performances here and first time director Boots Riley shows that he has the talent to make a lot more films. This is a cool movie that you should really see if you haven't yet.

THE BIG LEBOWSKI: 20TH ANNIVERSARY LIMITED EDITION ($47.33)

This set really ties the room together. I wasn't in the market for another copy of THE BIG LEBOWSKI and this one seemed kind of gimmicky at first, but each time I look at it, I want it more. The keepsakes are kind of fun, but a new 4K transfer of the Coens' funniest film is enticing enough for me to buy this.

FRAGGLE ROCK: THE COMPLETE SERIES ($40.99)

Growing up, you were either a Sesame Street kid or a Fraggle Rock kid. If you didn't have cable, odds are you missed out on Jim Henson's best series which blends elements of The Muppets and THE DARK CRYSTAL into a family friendly series that is both fun and educational. This set includes the full series as well as the animated series in a very cool collector's package.

SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY ($22.99)

I don't get the hate for this movie. Yeah, Alden Ehrenreich is no Harrison Ford, but Ron Howard's movie is a lot of fun. Each time I watch it, I enjoy it more and more. Plus, the set comes with the expected behind the scenes documentaries and making of features which are always cool. There is a lot of nice practical effects work in SOLO that you can really appreciate in the comfort of your own home.

PUPPET MASTER COLLECTION: TOULON'S ULTIMATE COLLECTIBLE TRUNK ($214.31)

Full Moon Entertainment's goofy horror franchise has been going for twelve movies and doesn't look to stop anytime soon. From the earliest films to the most recent reboot, this set has all of your favorite killer dolls going on murder sprees that claim victims in very inventive ways. Plus, the box the discs come in may be one of the coolest I have ever seen.

COMMUNITY: THE COMPLETE SERIES ($49.89)

I never got around to the seasons of Community that aired on Yahoo, but I loved all of the NBC years. Joel McHale and the rest of the cast are hilarious in this show that somehow featured Chevy Chase, Alison Brie, Ken Jeong, Donald Glover, and many more. You owe it to yourself to follow the Greendale students through their college years. This is one of the funniest and most underrated shows of the last twenty years.

UNIVERSAL CLASSIC MONSTERS: COMPLETE 30-FILM COLLECTION ($104.50)

Yes, you read that correctly. This set compiles 30 classic Universal horror movies into one set. Similar to the sets broken out by character in the past, this set brings them all together in high definition and a really cool box. Even if you have a few of the movies included in this set, having them all in one place is worth the price.

WONT YOU BE MY NEIGHBOR? ($19.09)

Before the Tom Hanks biopic of Mr. Rogers is released, you have to see this documentary. The inspiration that is Fred Rogers seeps through the screen and makes you want to just be instantly more positive to everyone around you. A heart-warming and inspiring film.

UPGRADE ($19.54)

A sleeper hit that you may have forgotten about already, UPGRADE is the early 90s action-fest you never knew you needed. Incredibly violent and gory, this movie is so damn good that I have to recommend it to everyone I possibly can. Action fans, horror fans, and anyone who loves a good fight scene will appreciate this flick.

DEADPOOL: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION (FOR NOW) ($38.96)

If you don't already own multiple copies of Ryan Reynold's smash hit superhero movies, this is a fun repackaging of the existing discs. The joking title already teases that this will be far from the last effort to get you to buy a DEADPOOL movie, but you have got to appreciate their transparency.

JACK RYAN 5-FILM COLLECTION ($46.96)

It would have been cool if this set included the new John Krasinski series featuring the title character, but you will have to make due with three really good movies and two okay ones. This set is worth the price for PATRIOT GAMES and THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER alone, but you get three more Jack Ryan adventures which are likely a lot better than you may remember.

AVENGERS: INFINITYY WAR ($22.34)

Odds are you already own this, but if you know the one person who didn't see the biggest cast in film history get wiped out by Grimace on steriods, you should pick this one up. The 4K is just stunning and the special features really show the amazing effort that went into making this movie happen. Plus, it will tide you over until AVENGERS 4.

TERMINATOR 2: JUDGEMENT DAY ENDOARM SET ($112.99)

Sometimes it feels like there is a new TERMINATOR 2 set every few months. Personally, I will buy the latest transfer each and every time just to get the best version of James Cameron's masterpiece. This deluxe set comes with a full scale replica of a T-800 arm as seen in the film. If that isn't a conversation starter, I don't know what is.

A QUIET PLACE ($24.96)

John Krasinski's directorial success is one of the most lauded films from an actor-turned-filmmaker since Jordan Peele's GET OUT. A well made movie that deserves the acclaim it has gotten gets a stellar high definition release. With featurettes and commentary, this is a nice disc to add to your collection.

STRANGER THINGS SEASON 2 ($15.00)

A Target exclusive, this set mimics the appearance of a VHS tape and comes with some fun extras including a mini-poster and photos of the main characters. You may not see the value if you can already stream the series on Netflix, but this is a fun retro set for fans of the series and the 1980s in general.

MAZE RUNNER TRILOGY ($19.99)

After the success of THE HUNGER GAMES, the MAZE RUNNER films tried to capitalize on the young adult bandwagon. While not quite as epic as the Jennifer Lawrence franchise, these three movies are way better than you would expect. The price point on this set is a great deal for three movies.

X-MEN TRILOGY ($26.96)

Some may say the prequel trilogy is better than the classic trilogy when it comes to X-MEN. As valid as that argument could be, this 4K restoration of X-MEN, X2, and X-MEN: THE LAST STAND is forcing me to lean in favor of Bryan Singer's original movies. This is a great set chock full of extras and goes to show that even dated dialogue doesn't prevent this from being one of the best superhero trilogies ever.

DIE HARD 30TH ANNIVERSARY HOLIDAY EDITION ($5.99)

The ongoing debate as to whether DIE HARD is truly a Christmas movie can be put to rest with this special sleeve added to the 30th Anniversary edition of the movie. Bringing festive and good cheer to Bruce Willis' iconic action flick, this is a great deal even if you already have a copy of the movie.
