Corin Hardy finally departs Relativity's reboot of The Crow

After all the bankruptcy issues Relativity was dealing with last year, you would have thought director Corin Hardy would have bolted their planned reboot for THE CROW and gone looking for other films to make. You'd then be wrong.

Hardy lasted to this point, even signing a holding deal for $150,000 this past November to stick with the project with an eye on a March production date, according to The Wrap. But with Dana Brunetti joining Relativity and taking over the creative reins, Hardy has departed the picture. This will allow Brunetti to put his own stamp on the high-priority reboot over at Relativity and not be stuck with what someone from a previous regime envisioned.

That puts THE CROW reboot back to square one with no director or star attached again, so who knows? Maybe someone will get it right this time, since you know they're going to make this flick one way or another.
