Dora Dives Into Danger In First Trailer for Dora And The Lost City Of Gold

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

The popular Nickelodeon animated series DORA THE EXPLORER has been given the live action treatment, and Paramount just dropped the first trailer for the upcoming film.

After spending most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents, Dora prepares to leap into her most challenging adventure yet – high school. Always the explorer, she quickly finds herself leading Boots (her best friend, a monkey), Diego (Jeffrey Wahlberg), a mysterious jungle inhabitant (Eugenio Derbez), and a rag-tag group of teens on a live-action adventure to save her parents and solve the mystery behind a lost city of gold.

Starring Isabela Moner as Dora, with Eva Longoria and Michael Peña as her parents, the film is directed by James Bobin, with Julia Pistor, John G. Scottiserving, and Derbez serving as executive producers. The screenplay is written by Nicholas Stoller and Matthew Robinson, from a story by Tom Wheeler.

This is a kid's movie that really looks like it's specifically made for, well, kids, but if you're looking for something to do Friday night with your little one, this dive into danger just might be the safari adventure that's guaranteed to be both fun and safe for the whole family.

DORA AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD swings into theaters on August 2nd, 2019.
