It won't be long now before THE BOYS are back in town for another season of violence, super-heroics, as well as the gross mistreatment of aquatic mammals. Though before Amazon Prime's sophomore season of THE BOYS swings for the fences on September 4, series showrunner Eric Kripke has some potentially exciting news with regards to plans for a third season. Recently while speaking with Collider, Kripke revealed that THE WALKING DEAD's Jeffrey Dean Morgan may be joining the cast.

To put things into perspective, Morgan had publically stated last year via Twitter that he'd like to be a part of THE BOYS. Kripke then saw Morgan's post and was more than happy to oblige with a potential role for the show's third season.

"I absolutely have," Kripke told Collider with regard to taking Morgan's offer into consideration. "There’s one role we’re already talking about. He has to, uh, we have to like coordinate. Because you know, he’s on The Walking Dead, so he has another home. But we already talked about one role, and there might be a potential other that we’re talking about. But we are, just this past week we were literally texting back and forth about trying to figure out how to get him on the show. I don’t think it’s a done deal yet, but the will is there, and we’re both talking about it.”

Before Morgan's potential casting inspires you to break into a song and dance routine, it's important to keep in mind that no official decision has been made with regard to the SUPERNATURAL veteran joining the cast down the line. Be that as it may, this is still exciting news as Morgan would arrive as an all-too-perfect fit for the ultra-violent superhero series. For now, we'll just have to wait and see what shakes out. Thankfully, we've got a brand-new season of THE BOYS dropping in September to keep us occupied in the interim.
