Back during the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, Kevin Smith announced to the world that he would be releasing his latest film RED STATE under the banner of his own distribution company called SModcast Pictures.  An extension of the weekly podcast Smith does with his producing partner Scott Mosier, the RED STATE Tour actually worked quite well and Smith subsequently announced that SModcast Pictures would be partnering with Phase 4 Films to distribute a number of movies each year, with four of those movies receiving the same roadshow template used for RED STATE.

Well the first of those movies is BINDLESTIFFS, and I’m proud to say that we have an exclusive clip entitled Sex 101 to share with you today right here on JoBlo.com:

Plot synopsis: Three underage, virgin, prep-school misfits, suspended on a bogus graffiti charge, flee to the inner city in an attempt to live the plot of The Catcher in the Rye – a book they have neither read, much less understand. This motion picture graphically portrays their noble quest to surrender their virginities (as well as shed their sobriety and sanity) to the encountered gatekeepers of “real experience”: vagrants, prostitutes, and crack fiends. Hot on their tail is Charlie, a paranoid, deranged security guard, who, convinced that they plan to stage a school shooting, aims to shut them down and save his piece of America.

The roadshow for BINDLESTIFFS will travel to the four locations listed below (buy your tickets here) before a VOD release on June 19th.  All of these boast a Q & A with Kevin Smith and the filmmakers, which makes it a pretty damn cool opportunity.

June 12th New York City – Cinema 123
June 13th Philadelphia – Ritz East Theatre
June 17th San Antonio – Park North, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema
June 18th Austin – South Lamar, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema

“BINDLESTIFFS was made for pennies and porno tokens, with no parental permission (much less permits) by a team of horny teenage wetdreamers, themselves escaping to commit some “real” filmmaking.” Sold.  100% sold.
