The sequel to Matthew Vaughn's KINGSMAN will follow Eggsy (Taron Egerton) and Merlin (Mark Strong) as they are forced to work together with the American agency Statesman in order to save the world from a new villain. How fun! Entertainment Tonight recently caught up with Egerton at TIFF, of which the leading man had a few things to say regarding the state of filming on the sequel, as well as one of his co-stars, Channing Tatum!
Taron Egerton on filming KINGSMAN 2:
It's great man. We just finished. It's going to blow everyone away.
Regarding Channing Tatum in the film:
He was only around for a couple of weeks, he's such a great guy. He's such a great guy and he's brilliant in the movie. It's gonna be great.
KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE will see the return of Taron Egerton, Mark Strong and Colin Firth (somehow), but will also include Channing Tatum, Pedro Pascal, Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, Halle Berry, and Vinnie Jones, among others. Given the first film's success, I think it's safe to say that this qualifies as one of the most anticipated action movies of 2017!
KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE will open in theaters on June 16, 2017.
