Final poster and images from Hitchcock with Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, and Scarlett Johansson

We’ve already seen the first teaser poster for the Alfred Hitchcock biopic HITCHCOCK, starring Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, Scarlett Johansson, Jessic Biel, Toni Collette, James D’Arcy, Michael Stuhlbarg, Kurtwood Smith, Ralph Macchio, Danny Huston, and Michael Wincott, and today, EW has premiered the final poster for the film.  Featuring a throwback style to Hitchcock’s own movie posters, it’s a handsome-looking mock up that pays homage with great style.

Check it out:

In addition to the poster, I rounded up these images, which are higher resolution versions of the ones we were teased from People Magazine, featuring Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh, James D’Arcy as Anthony Perkins, and Helen Mirren as Alma Reville.

Good Evening:

I really like the way this is shaping up.  The film is being touted as a love story between Hitchcock and Alma Reville, but the marketing thus far has made it look much like a film from the director himself, which is really kind of cool.  It’s too soon to call it, but the trailer will premiere tomorrow, giving us the final word on what to anticipate from the film.

“Hitchcock’s so enigmatic in one sense. Someone who portrays zero emotion. We didn’t really know emotionally that much about Hitchcock, and suddenly you have this whole world that opens up when Anthony Hopkins plays the role. It’s extraordinary. And he really enjoyed tiptoeing up to people who had just arrived on the set and going, ‘Good evening.’ Making people jump. I think he really found the role quite delicious,” said director Sacha Gervasi (ANVIL: THE STORY OF ANVIL).  With Hopkins in the lead, I’m sure it will be just that.

HITCHCOCK is set to premiere on January 10, 2013 and be sure to check back here tomorrow for the trailer.
