Jonze meets Kanye

Few directors could (or would) follow up a hauntingly beautiful meditation on childhood with a bizarre drunken fantasy starring a hip-hop star. But that’s exactly what Spike Jonze has done. Just one day after WHERE THE WILD THINGS are topped the box-office with over $30 million, Jonze’s next directorial effort has hit the web. It’s titled “We Were Once a Fairytale” and it will most definitely be the weirdest thing you’ve seen all day.

Though the short, which runs about 11 minutes, premiered at the Los Angeles Film Fest this summer, it has made it’s way online for the first time today. To tell you anymore about the film would be criminal because you really just need to see it for yourself. It starts off a little slow, with a drunken and somewhat belligerent Kanye in a club, and goes all downhill after that. Check it out below…
