Another day, another STAR WARS: EPISODE VII story to increase excitement, or frustration depending on your mood. For a lot of us it’s just fun to be excited for STAR WARS again! There is so much going around out there, it’s impressive that we still don’t know a lot of certainties at this point about the story and what we might see on screen. Besides a few callback’s including original cast and spacecraft, we are left to wonder and hypothesize. That is of course until someone like Oscar Isaac comes along and maybe let’s something slip about the Empire possibly returning? Oh what fun we can have with this one.

The Empire was defeated by the Rebels, and all was right in the Galaxy again. Maybe not. In an interview with EW, EPISODE VII star Oscar Isaac may have suggested otherwise:

When talking about the script for EPISODE VII he says:

"I'm constantly looking for a cheesy line to say to harken back to the old ones," what they're trying to do and what's really great is J.J.'s been loosening it up a little bit and trying to make it alive and energized." It's not formal. They're messy, energized people. We've all intentionally tried to do that. Just make it a little more fiery and messy."

So no cheesy dialogue, that’s great to hear. How the experience been for the star?

"There's a lot of enthusiasm [on the set] and it's being done with a lot of heart. There's nothing cynical about the way we're doing this. Even in the way he's shooting it — he's shooting on film and actually building the sets, so you've got hundreds of Stormtroopers or whatever, and hundreds of extras and all the ships. You actually see it. It's all real."

Hundreds of Stormtroopers? What has he seen!? This is sure to add even more speculation about a returning Empire. It could also be a flashback scene aboard a certain Death Star as THR pointed out. Isaac didn’t offer up more than those words but suggested perhaps we all calm down and remember the magic of movie going.

"People want to know all those special things and when those iconic moments are going to happen, but if all that gets revealed beforehand I feel like it robs people of that moment when they're sitting there watching it for the first time.”

We have over a year of waiting to do before we get to see some hopefully new iconic moments. STAR WARS: EPISODE VII arrives December 18, 2015.
