Poster Round-up: 22 Jump Street, X-Men, Maleficent, and Planes 2

Lots of posters showing up around the Interwebs today. So many that we compiled a group of them for your right here. First up is the new poster for 22 JUMP STREET. Not much is needed to sell this comedy sequel starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum since the first pretty much set the tone. All you need is the cops, guns, and some fun sunglasses.

Officers Schmidt (Hill) and Jenko (Tatum) go deep undercover at a local college to crack a crime ring within a fraternity. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. In addition to cracking the case, the two freshmen must figure out if they can have a mature relationship like real men.

22 JUMP STREET gets back to school beginning June 13, 2014.

MALEFICENT unveiled a new banner poster that continues the fantastical film's reveal of additional characters. Here we get a look at both Elle Fanning's Princess Aurora as well as Sam Riley as Diaval, Maleficent's raven in human form. The latest trailer for the film does showcase both Angelina Jolie in very different periods of her life as Maleficent but also the ambiguous nature of Sharlto Copley's King Stefan. I was more intrigued than ever by the film until I saw Riley's character who looks like he was designed simply to appeal to the TWILIGHT crowd. The leather jacket and emo hairstyle are just way too on the nose. But, time will tell if the movie turns out to be any good.

MALEFICENT opens on May 30, 2014.

Next is Disney's latest entry into the CARS franchise spin-off PLANES: FIRE & RESCUE. Last year's PLANES was originally a straight to DVD project but eventually became a modest success in theaters. So much so that Dane Cook has returned to voice Dusty Crophopper in an adventure that takes the champion plane as he learns how to fight fire with a new crew of aircraft.

PLANES: FIRE & RESCUE hits theaters on July 18, 2014.

Lastly, we have four new dual character posters for X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. Unlike the atrocious posters for X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, Fox seems to have learned and has been releasing a ton of kick ass posters for Bryan Singer's latest film. These showcase a good mix of mutants both old and new, including Storm, Beast, Blink, Kitty Pryde, and more.

he X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class in a battle in which they must change the past – to save their future.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST hits theaters on May 23, 2014.
