Rumor: Warner Bros may be looking to cast Cyborg for Batman vs Superman

With BATMAN VS SUPERMAN showcasing the new Dark Knight alongside Wonder Woman and potentially Dwayne Johnson as Green Lantern, the DC Cinematic Universe is slowly coming together. We have heard rumblings of appearances from Aquaman and Green Arrow and now some more rumors may support the appearance of another Justice League member in the sequel to MAN OF STEEL.

While Latino Review may be pretty hit or miss these days with their inside sources, they were correct about the casting call that turned out to be for Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Now, it appears Zack Snyder and the studio are searching for a physically fit, African American male in his early 20s for an undisclosed role. This could be for a non-hero role, or it could be for Cyborg.

Latino Review also claims that Zack Snyder met with Michael B. Jordan for the role, so it likely is not some minor part. With Jordan taking the part of Johnny Storm in THE FANTASTIC FOUR, the potential for this role to be any hero, African American or otherwise, is wide open. DC, as with the casting of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, is not going to just play it safe and could be changing the ethnicity of any character. They already cast Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and made Jimmy Olsen into a girl, so anything is possible.

What do you think: is DC looking for a Cyborg? We will know for sure when BATMAN VS SUPERMAN hits theaters on May 6, 2016.
