Spider-Man 3: Sony confirms first-look at Spidey sequel coming by year’s end

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

SPIDER-MAN 3 isn't expected to hit screens until December 2021 but Sony is confirming that we'll get our first look at the new sequel by the end of the year.

Camila Pacheco, the Executive Marketing Director of Sony Pictures Entertainment in Brazil, made the first-look announcement at ExpoCine, which is the largest cinema industry event in Latin America. Pacheco kept alternating between the words "teaser" and "preview" but it looks like we're at least getting SOMETHING before year's end. If a "teaser" or "preview" drops, it would coincide with the timeline of the preview launches for the previous two films.

Both 2017's SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING and last year's SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME, released trailers in December of 2016 and 2018, respectively. However, both of the movies had summer release dates for the following years, and thanks to the public health crisis, it's going to be a bit longer of a wait this time around. If we learned anything from the DC FanDome Event, you can cut a preview of substance when a film hasn't even been filming that long. THE BATMAN trailer that launched at the event was top notch and with word circulating that filming of some kind has begun on SPIDER-MAN 3 in NEW YORK CITY, it's fair to say that there could be enough footage shot by December to get a solid teaser.

Do YOU think we'll get a proper teaser by the end of December?
