The Night Manager's Elizabeth Debicki joins J.J. Abrams' God Particle

Elizabeth Debicki God Particle J.J. Abrams

Even after directing one of the biggest movies of all time, J.J. Abrams still has an interest in developing smaller films with up and coming directors. Julius Onah (THE GIRL IS IN TROUBLE) will be directing GOD PARTICLE with J.J. Abrams producing through his Bad Robot banner, and Variety has reported that Elizabeth Debicki is in negotiations to join the cast.

Elizabeth Debicki, fresh off the excellent mini-series The Night Manager, would be joining John Krasinski, David Oyelowo, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw in GOD PARTICLE, which "centers on a team of astronauts who make a terrifying discovery that challenges everything they know about the fabric of reality, as they desperately fight for survival." Debicki would be playing one of the astronauts and production is expected to kick off in the next few months. However, Variety also states that John Krasinski's involvement may no longer be a sure thing, perhaps because the actor recently signed on to play Jack Ryan in Amazon's new series. Debicki is currently filming GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2.

GOD PARTICLE is set for a February 24, 2017 release.
