Will Doomsday be introduced in Batman V Superman?

Well, we can take the following story with a grain of salt, but given all the hubbub over the possibility of a leaked BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE script NOT written by Kevin Smith, who knows at this point, right? Bleeding Cool is reporting that designs are being done for the character of Doomsday. As I’m sure most of us can recall, Doomsday was the creature responsible for taking down Superman (temporarily, at least). There is no report as far as what capacity Doomsday may show up in, though.

Last month, there was a rumor of the Death of Superman storyline being played out to some extent in Batman V Superman, given that there have been pictures of a memorial service. Our own sources indicate that the memorial was actually following the events of MAN OF STEEL, which would make a little more sense, given how packed this film already is. Not only do we have a Batman vrs Superman flick, but as the expanded title and casting suggest that the seeds of the Justice League will be planted as well. A story as significant as the Death of Superman would probably be relegated to a (mostly) Supes-only movie, or at least, the Justice League in general. Either way, we have a little ways to go before the truth shall set us free in 2016.

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE will be released on May 6, 2016.
