Woody Allen has pulled a fast one on us. His upcoming Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor starring film, CASSANDRA’S DREAM, is officially scheduled to debut at the Venice Film Festival later this year but that sneaky little bastid went ahead and held a not-so-secretive 600-person premiere in the northern Spanish city of Aviles (hey, that’s me!) on Monday. Though those in attendance were sworn to secrecy upon likely pain of death, newspaper El Pais did manage to reveal that the neurotic filmmaker deadpanned: “I hope you like the film, but if you don’t, you can ask for your money back.” Whoa, he charged MY town to see the film? Way to be a douche there, Woody. Kidding, of course. Mostly. As mentioned, the flick’s scheduled to bow at the Venice Film Festival with a limited stateside release set for November 30th.
