Netflix cryptically teases A Series of Unfortunate Events Season 2

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Well, this certainly is a pleasant way to begin a Monday. It's been confirmed by Netflix that their Neil Patrick Harris-lead A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS show will indeed returning for another season. This is fantastic news for fans like me who rather enjoyed the grim, self-aware story of the three Baudelaire orphans and their nefarious, inheritance-hungry relative, Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris).

The announcement comes by way of a curious video teaser narrated by the program's Lemony Snicket (Patrick Warburton, who continues on his quest to warn viewers that they should look away, and pay no mind to the unfortunate events that plague Violet, Klaus and Sonny as they continue their search for the truth regarding the untimely demise of their parents.

You can watch the video right here!

The teaser is actually pretty cool. If you look closely, you're bound to notice that some of the words contained within the message are colored yellow, instead of white. When you string them all together, the decoded script reads, www.VastlyFrighteningDecision.com. Upon visiting the site, you'll find a message from Lemony Snicket himself, informing fans that the series was so unfortunate that the cast and crew couldn't bring them to film another episode. Of course, this is just Snicket's way of trying to spare us the heartache of watching the Baudelaire children endure anymore hardships.

While you wait for more exciting news about this black, family-friendly comedy, you can check out the first season of the show which is available to stream on Netflix right now
