New clip from Disney XD’s Avengers: Secret Wars shows off Ms. Marvel

So there’s a new AVENGERS cartoon show coming out for Disney XD called MARVEL’S AVENGERS: SECRET WARS (kind of a mouthful, isn’t it?) The show will focus on Ms. Marvel (a.k.a. Kamala Khan), and Disney has released some shorts that are about the lead-up to the new series. Apparently it focuses on Khan filling in for Iron Man after Tony Stark disappeared into an unknown dimension.

Anyway, here’s the first clip for your viewing pleasure:

Well, that was certainly fun. I like Kamala Khan, though, so I may be biased. See, as much as I grew up with – and still love – gritty anti-social badasses like Batman, Spawn, and The Punisher, I also love earnest heroes who just love having powers and helping people. Meanwhile, AVENGERS: SECRET WARS will debut on Disney XD July 17th.
