Favorite Horror Movie 2021

With 2021 coming to an end, we here at Arrow in the Head are curious to know: what was your favorite horror movie of the year? Was it one of the bigger releases, like the latest Halloween sequel Halloween Kills? The Jordan Peele-produced reboot of the Candyman series? Netflix’s back-to-back-to-back releases of the Fear Street trilogy? Did you think Edgar Wright did an incredible job when he set comedy aside and brought us the thrills of Last Night in Soho? Or did you prefer a movie that didn’t get Edgar Wright or franchise amounts of attention, like The Medium, The Power, or Seance?

We have put together a poll with a solid list of options, but if you don’t see your personal pick for best horror movie of the year, then you can go with “Other”. If you do that, please let us know what your #1 choice was by leaving a comment below!

What was your favorite horror movie of 2021?

It was actually quite difficult for me to pick just one movie on this poll as my favorite, as there were several strong contenders this year. A couple of the biggest releases didn’t go over as well with me as they seemed to with a lot of other horror fans, but I still found plenty of movies to enjoy throughout the year.

Here’s hoping that the horror offerings of 2022 will be just as good as the films we saw in 2021, if not better.
