Bill & Ted Face the Music, Without Remorse

As is tradition, here's a little Friday release-date shuffle for you. First up – BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC. The long-awaited return of Bill S. Preston, Esq. (Alex Winter) and Ted "Theodore" Logan (Keanu Reeves) has already shifted once already due to COVID-19, but after Warner Bros. moved Christopher Nolan's TENET recently, United Artists Releasing have now pushed BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC from August 14, 2020 to August 28, 2020. That date happens to be the same as THE NEW MUTANTS, but I doubt we've heard the last of these films shuffling around.

In addition to BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC, Paramount Pictures announced that they would be shifting WITHOUT REMORSE from October 2, 2020 to February 21, 2021. Adapted from the Tom Clancy novel of the same-name, WITHOUT REMORSE stars Michael B. Jordan (BLACK PANTHER) as John Clark, who has been described at the dark side of Jack Ryan, Clancy's other famous character.

Directed by Stefano Sollima (SICARIO: DAY OF THE SOLDADO) and written by Taylor Sheridan (WIND RIVER), the film will serve as something of an origin story for how John Clark came to work for the CIA. As a Navy SEAL, Clark goes on the path to avenge his wife's murder only to find himself inside a larger conspiracy. In addition to Jordan, WITHOUT REMORSE also stars Jamie Bell (ROCKETMAN), Jodie Turner-Scott (Nightflyers), Brett Gelman (Stranger Things) Jack Kesy (DEADPOOL 2), Cam Gigandet (TWILIGHT), Luke Mitchell (Blindspot), and Jacob Scipio (As the Bell Rings), and Todd Lasance (Spartacus). Paramount Pictures is also developing RAINBOW SIX, which is expected to serve as a follow-up to WITHOUT REMORSE, but I would imagine that would hinge on how well WITHOUT REMORSE does.
