Shadow in the Cloud clip released for WWII creature feature

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

So this is cool! Vertical Entertainment has just released a fun, action-packed clip ahead of the release of their upcoming WWII horror-comedy about a badass Chloë Grace Moretz fighting off a Gremlin, which you can watch at the top of the article!

Below is the official synopsis:

A female WWII pilot traveling with top secret documents on a B-17 Flying Fortress encounters an evil presence on board the flight.

I'm actually kinda looking forward to this one, as it seems to have a goofy and light tone – despite the horror and war elements – and I like Moretz in most things I've seen her in (except for that Tom and Jerry trailer – though other ringers like Michael Pena also seem to be floundering in that thing, so it's probably not her fault). I also like that it seems to be making direct references to the classic Bugs Bunny cartoon Falling Hare, which is a plus as well.

Meanwhile, A Shadow in the Cloud – directed by Roseanne Liang and starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Nick Robinson, Beulah Koale – will be coming out January 1, 2021, according to IMDb!

So what do you guys think? And what's your favorite WWII-based horror film? Either way, sound off below!
