Original The Predator ending featured Ripley & Newt as Predator Killers!

Recently I had the chance to catch up with Shane Black and Fred Dekker's THE PREDATOR. I didn't think it was anywhere NEAR as bad as others had made it out to be. But I have to say the ending was a disappointment. SPOILERS TO FOLLOW. In the end, Boyd Holbrook and Jacob Tremblay are recruited by the government to research Predators and aliens, and they realize the nice Predator left them a gift called "The Predator Killer" (cool sequel title, huh?). The ending more than sets up the reveal of a xenomorph or a facehugger and then the chamber opens and we see… a lame suit.

Weak sauce.

But evidently, the filmmakers shot three different endings for the film, all variations of a "Predator Killer". The unused endings included Ripley from ALIEN and Newt from ALIENS. True story. The news was broken by artist Yuri Everson on Instagram and he shared pics of the project, showcasing a breather mask with moving "fingers" and "tail" that were deemed too facehugger-like on the day and were cut and removed by someone…

He writes regarding Ripley:

You can see her name tag there on her costume. Breanna Watkins played Ripley under the mask instead of Sigourney Weaver.
