Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis shake hands in the first look at The Campaign

One of my favorite parts of the Oscars this year was Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis coming out on stage dropping cymbals. It wasn’t wildly hilarious, but it was one of the better parts in an otherwise dull evening. Oh, and the part where the guy who played Kip in ORANGE COUNTY received an award for best adapted screenplay. Do you remember his conversation with Schuyler Fisk in the movie? “I want to be a writer. Fiction, poetry, screenplays, whatever. I have an idea for a TV show. It’s about vampires…ostensibly. But, underneath, it’s actually about the reunification of Germany.” While he’s probably nothing like that, it’s funny to reflect on.

On to the subject at hand, we have our first look at Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis in THE CAMPAIGN. The film directed by Jay Roach, “centers on two rival North Carolina politicians with presidential aspirations who tangle with one another.” Jason Sudeikis, Dylan McDermott, Brian Cox, John Lithgow and Dan Aykroyd also star.

THE CAMPAIGN is due out a few months before the U.S. presidential election on August 10th.
