Will Harrison Ford appear in the Blade Runner sequel after all?

After years and years of silence interspersed with vague rumors, I still can’t believe an actual BLADE RUNNER sequel is happening, but it’s hard to argue with the man himself – Ridley Scott. We already know Hampton Fancher is writing, we know the movie is going to have a female protagonist and now we learn that Harrison ‘Deckard’ Ford might actually make it into the film as well! Mind you, the rumor has been floating around for some time and was denied at several points. This latest bit of news is still far from official and comes from an off-hand remark the director made in an interview for The Independent. But hey, it’s something. Here’s the actual quote from Ridley Scott:

“I don’t think it’ll be Harry [starring]. But I’ve got to have him in it somewhere. That’d be amusing.”

There you have it. Not much to go on, I know, but it looks like we’re in for at least a cameo appearance from Mr. Ford. In what role or capacity? C’mon, the thing isn’t even written yet. Still, it could be cool as hell.
