The Witcher star and man with a magic shirt pocket, Henry Cavill, has taken a major step in his recovery after injuring his hamstring on the set of Netflix's hit fantasy series. Cavill recently posted an update to his Instagram account, alerting fans that he's officially out and about while testing his mobility.

"We are in lockdown here in the UK, so I'm using my once a day outdoor exercise to go for my first jog since my hamstring injury," Cavill wrote in a caption alongside a photo of himself, masked and ready to explore nature. "It wasn't fast, and it certainly wasn't far, but it has been a major step in my recovery, and my first step to getting back into the groove after a Christmas that may have involved more than a few cups of mulled wine, and an exceptionally fat turkey."

I am thrilled to see that Cavill is on the road to recovery because, in addition to wanting him to feel better, his update also means that we're one step closer toward slaying more monsters when The Witcher returns to Netflix.

Here's the official synopsis for The Witcher: Season 2, per Netflix:

Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans, and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.

Joining Cavill for The Witcher's sophomore season are returning cast members Freya Allan as Princess Cirilla; Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg; Joey Batey as Jaskier; MyAnna Buring as Tissaia; Tom Canton as Filavandrel; Lilly Cooper as Murta; Jeremy Crawford as Yarpen Zigrin; Eamon Farren as Cahir; Mahesh Jadu as Vilgefortz; Terrence Maynard as Artorius; Lars Mikkelsen as Stregobor; Mimi Ndiweni as Fringilla Vigo; Royce Pierreson as Istredd; Wilson Radjou-Pujalte as Dara; Anna Shaffer as Triss Merigold; and Therica Wilson Read as Sabrina.

Season 2 will also be tossing a coin to new cast members, including Carmel Laniado as a smart, sadistic teenager named Violet; Mecia Simson as Elven sorceress Francesca; Aisha Fabienne Ross as the sorceress Lydia; Agnes Born as Vereena, who is fragile and vulnerable on the outside but is capable of brutal violence; Kim Bodnia as Geralt's mentor Vesemir; Kristofer Hivju as Nivellen, "a man cursed as a result of a terrible sin"; Paul Bullion as witcher Lambert; Yasen Atour as witcher Coen; and Basil Eidenbenz as witcher Eskel, a friend from Geralt's youth.
