Syfy is one of my many guilty pleasures. It's cheesy B-rated monster movie fun. From a list of SWAMP SHARK, SHARKTOPUS, and MEGA PIRANHA comes another furiously addicting creature to add to the mix. BEHEMOTH: a massive mountain-sized creature with tentacles that is literally a mountain.
We've got the trailer for you to check out. One thing that i've noticed is the enhanced CGI. I believe Syfy has caught up to the rest of the world. No longer are we looking at late 90's CGI but now we have moved on to early 2000's CGI. Oh what money can buy.
Here's the official synopsis:
An earthquake reactivates a long-dormant volcano, threatening the small town of Ascension, trembling in its shadow. But the gaping maws in the region reveal evidence of something else — a centuries-old subterranean creature at last given the chance to break free in a black cloud of fire and ash. As the Behemoth wreaks havoc, it’s a race against time as a small band of rescuers fight it with a force as destructive as the beast itself.
RHI Entertainment and Cinetel are responsible for creature feature. BEHEMOTH will be the next flick to be premiered some time soon. The film is directed by David Hogan and it stars Cindy Busby (THE VAMPIRE DIARIES), Ed Quinn (EUREKA), and William B. Davis.
BEHEMOTH's very own Cindy Busby
