Cowboys and werewolves clash in Blood Moon, on DVD September 1st

Last Updated on July 22, 2021

Occasionally a movie will come along that blends the horror genre with a Western setting, a mixture that I've always found fascinating. I couldn't explain why, but I love the idea of cowboys fighting monsters. As far as I'm concerned, there aren't nearly enough of these types of movies, so I am very glad to share the news that Uncork'd Entertainment and Jinga Films will be adding a new installment to this neglected sub-genre with BLOOD MOON, which is set to hit DVD and VOD in North America on September 1st.

Starring Shaun Dooley, George Blagden, Anna Skellern, and Corey Johnson, BLOOD MOON is

a werewolf Western set in a remote mining town where a stagecoach full of passengers are held hostage by two outlaws on the run from the law. But events take an unexpected turn when the group fall prey to a mythical creature known to locals as a skin walker. They must settle their differences and combine their strengths if they're going survive the night of a blood red Moon.

Yep, sounds like just the sort of movie I'm dying to see. Check out the trailer and poster below to decide if BLOOD MOON is for you.
