LAKE PLACID 2 – January 29th
I’m surprised it’s taken this long for a sequel to LAKE PLACID to hit – I mean, it had sequel written all over it! Least to say, I’m stoked on this beast… even if it was made for the Sci-Fi Channel, and even if it’s only on DVD. It’s a giant alligator eating people again… and having fun in the process! Check out these features – shouldn’t every DVD give you the option of watching the ‘action only’ version? Yes they should! Imagine all the time you’d save if you had that option! It’s just a shame that a member of The Simpsons had to die in the making of this cover…

EASTERN PROMISES – December 26th
I had a chance to see this in the theater and totally blew it – so I guess I’ll just have to wait until the sleepy/drowsy/drunk day after Christmas to get my naked Viggo fight scene groove on. There’s hardcore, then there’s a guy who beats the shit outta people while stark naked – and I don’t know if anything is more hardcore than that.

Some more Thai horror for your head. Our friends at DVD Active scored a quote on the cover, which is pretty cool in my book. Some day, if I’m lucky, I’ll get a quote on a cover like this… except I do the news on DVDs that already have covers… damnit! Oh well, there’s always a chance to score on the re-release!

KNIGHTRIDERS – December 18th
For some reason, this has me more excited than finding a three foot tall birthday cake in my shower. After all these years, KNIGHTRIDERS is making an appearance on DVD! Now I can FINALLY get rid of my VHS copy of the George A. Romero flick, and snatch up the DVD for my collection! It’s goofy and weird and badass all at the same time… I mean, Ed Harris as a Knight who rides a Hog rather than a Horse? How can you go wrong with that?? They sure don’t make movies like this anymore… and it’s a damn shame.

DEADLY END –TBA 2008 – Because the tagline was catchy… and it’s a slow week!
CRYPT OF TERROR: HORROR FROM SOUTH OF THE BORDER –December 18th – Because the title is fun to say, and there’s a corpse on the cover wearing a sombrero!
MAMMOTH –January 8th – Because deep down inside you always knew the Mammoth wasn’t wooly or friendly!
