TRIGGER MAN -March 18th

DELIVERANCE is a f*cked up movie. Even by today’s torture porn standards of gore and… torture. This flick is looking to pull a fast one and flip the DELIVERANCE angle on it’s head, with a sniper happy back woods psycho capping off a group of hikers one by one. If you can’t walk the trails of the forest without fearing you’re going to get shot, where can you walk? The dude that brought us THE ROOST is behind this one… color me intrigued!

The Goods:

LEFT FOR DEAD – March 4th

Westerns and horror. I had thought we’d seen the first and last of these with UNDEAD OR ALIVE a few weeks back, but alas… I was wrong. The twist here is that the cowgirls in question are dealing with supernatural spirits, and not zombies. Yes, I said cowgirls, and yes, I know how awesome that sounds. And you know what else? The cover art here is actually pretty dang good. Will the movie turn out to be as swell? Let’s hope so… let’s also hope for some cowgirl on cowgirl action…

The Goods:

CARVER – March 4th

Based on this cover, I probably would have titled this movie EATER. Doesn’t it look like this chick is eating something, rather than carving something? What I like here is the exploitation truth in advertising: ‘Unrated: The Grisly Edition.’ Sounds pretty f*cked up to me… but is it? Or is it your regular order of STD trash promising big thrills and chills, and only delivering something one notch about mildly entertaining?

The Goods:

100,000 B.C. –March 11th – Because if you’re going to rip off a bigger named movie, your title should be as similar as this… even if the actual movie couldn’t be more different.

NATURE MORTE –February 26th – Because this looks pretty f*cked up… or f*cking awesome, depending on what you’re into!

ARMY OF THE DEAD –March 4th – Because it’s been too long since we’ve seen Ash grace the big screen, we might as well see a STD imitation to hold us over!
