SISTERS - March 11th
Not to be confused with the Brian de Palma flick of the same name, this tale of SISTERS looks a little more whacked out, a little more dark... and hell, I'll say it: a little cookie-cutter horror for the STD audience. There. I said it . Maybe the DVD gods will strike down on me and deliver something memorable... but I highly doubt it (Arrow didn't care for it much). Stephen Rhea's in it, so at least there's one redeemable factor to the whole thing.
NIGHTMARE DETECTIVE -February 19th
This cover makes my back hurt. But the big question is: is she pulling that big ol' knife out of her back, or sliding the knife back in??? Either way, OUCH! Another release courtesy of Dimension Extreme, and as they have yet to really disappoint, I say bring it on! But seriously, my back. It hurts. I think I need to look at something happy to make the pain go away.
THE MIST - March 25th
And here's some happiness to cheer me up! Stephen King's THE MIST has just been slapped with a DVD release date, though no specs or official cover art have been announced. Hopefully they'll stick to the same theatrical cover, as not only is it awesome, but it fits the character's style in the story (he paints movie posters, afterall). I can't wait to nab this beast as it was one of my favorites of 2007. With two editions to choose from, my biggest question is: are they going unrated or theatrical... or an option for both?
