THE DEAD ZONE: THE FINAL SEASON – June 3rd

While I never really got into the series, you gotta give it props for being on for so long–this, a spin-off of a Stephen King novel starring a dude who became famous as a laughable duffous in the 80s. Not bad… not bad at all. If you’re sad to see it go, be sure to hit up the final season, and check out all 13 of the episodes over and over again at your leisure, because hey–isn’t that the glory of having TV on DVD? You’re damn right it is.

The Goods:

DARKEST HOUR – May 20th

Nothing too exciting or special about this one, except maybe the fact that it comes with a bonus movie to occupy your time. Something about a killer with a skull face in a sleepy Northwest Town. Sounds like fun, huh? I’m diggin’ the cover, and the promise of ANOTHER movie is always enticing (especially one concerning a hot, but dead, zombie, who’s out to steal your soul). Sign me up! Just remember: you can’t play games with death. Though, as we’ll recall from BILL & TED’S BOGUS JOURNEY, you really can play games with death. Go figure.

The Goods:

MASTERS OF MURDER COLLECTION –May 27th – Because you can never have too many ‘based on a true story’ movies featuring killers and psychopaths.

UNDEAD HORRORS –June 17th – Because for a split second, I thought it was titled UNDEAD WHORES, which would have been totally awesome.

VISIONS OF HELL: THE FILMS OF JIM VANDEBBER – May 27th – Because I always wanted to know what hell looks like, and apparently, this guy is gonna show me!
