A couple weeks back I showed you guys this cover (and what a kick ass cover it is), and now we have the specs. Just look at the special features this one is carrying. It’s almost as amazing as the ingenious quote at the bottom of the box. Seriously, just what the heck is that supposed to mean? There’s gore. Ok. But is it good???



The Goods:

MARIO BAVA COLLECTION – VOL. 1 – April 3rd



Said to be one of the most underrated directors of all time, you can now get your fill of director Mario Bava’s work with this box set. Notice the Vol.1? I can only assume that means a Vol. 2 and possibly a Vol. 3 are also in the works. There’s a good amount of features on each of these discs (always a plus), and if you ever forget what Bava accomplished in his life, you can refer to any one of the bios he has here, as it’s a feature on every single disc. Judging from the covers, this could be your very own Grind House party, right in your own living room!

GODZILLA RAIDS AGAIN – April 3rd



I’m not familiar with this Godzilla adventure, but I do know that it’d be worth buying for one of the special features. Yes, the “Art of Suit Acting” Featurette is one that will likely go down in record books as one of the best Featurettes to accompany a DVD. Ever. I can’t freaking wait!

MOH: FAMILY – April 17th



This here be John Landis, taking a stab as a Master of Horror in this Season 2 episode (and from what I hear, this one’s the best of the season). I apologize for the generic cover below, but this is so hot off the presses, not even Landis knows what the cover will contain. George Wendt in a headlock? Meredith Monroe on all fours? A family portrait of your mom? Keep it here for your first look…

The Goods:

RETURN OF THE LIVIND DEAD: SPECIAL EDITION –TBA– Because an online petition brought it to DVD back in ’04, and now they’re pimpin’ it out to the masses with an extra disc full o’ brand new features!

THE RETURN TO HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL –TBA– Because this straight-to-video sequel has the potential to be as fun as it’s predecessor- without the awesome cast.

WRONG TURN 2: DEAD END –TBA–
Because the great Henry Rollins stars in this badboy. If for no other reason, it’ll be worth checking out for that.
