Indie horror flick Dreamkiller scores a rating from the MPAA

Back in December we told you about a little independent horror flick called DREAMKILLER that you should keep your eye on (dream about it HERE), and today it looks like others have had an eye on this flick as well…. the MPAA!

As a refresher, here’s what DREAMKILLER is all about: A team of doctors experiment with a new, highly controversial form of psycho therapy (named F.R.I.T.) designed to cure chronic FEAR and PHOBIA patients. Soon someone begins to kill the patients one by one and investigation uncovers that the patients died in the exact way that they feared they would. Who or what brought their fears to life?

Oooooh, snap! In essence, some wack-job wants to be the next Fred Krueger, and figures out a way to find out what people are most afraid of–then kill them that way. Pretty f*cked up if you ask me. And apparently, so is the film, as the MPAA just slapped with beast with a juicy R rating for violence, disturbing images, some sexuality/nudity and language.

Pretty much all the reasons a flim could be slapped with an R rathing. Nice! Directed by Catherine C. Pirotta, and starring Dario Deak, John Savage, and Tyrone Power Jr., DREAMKILLER is set to hit super limited theaters this weekend, with a DVD release later this year. Check out the trailer below to get a better taste as to what to expect.

DREAMKILLER is rated R–rejoice! Head on over THIS WAY to check out the film’s official MySpce page, and stick around for that DVD release date as we hear it!
