The human head weighs eight pounds, and JERRY MAGUIRE child star Jonathan Lipnicki will be struggling to keep his head on his shoulders in the indie horror film CIRCUS KANE, which he has just signed on to take the lead role in. Also in the cast are Mark Christopher Lawrence, who appeared in Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN II, and Nicole Fox, who had a role in the 2014 slasher GIRL HOUSE - a film that I highly recommend slasher fans seek out if you haven't seen it yet.
Christopher Douglas-Olen Ray, son of legendary filmmaker Fred Olen Ray, will be directing CIRCUS KANE from a screenplay written by James Cullen Bressack and Zack Ward. The story was conceived by Sean Sellars.
That story begins when
a reclusive circus master invites a group of social media stars to his house of haunts. Anyone who can make it out before being scared into submission will earn $250,000 — but the stars soon learn they are not only competing for money, but also fighting their lives.
With the U.S. wrapped up in clown hysteria, this is the perfect time to start production on any clown or circus themed movie ideas you might have. CIRCUS KANE has a simple and familiar set-up that will hopefully be providing plenty of funhouse frights.
