Mickey Keating’s Carnage Park releases first clip ahead of Sundance debut

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Prolific young director Mickey Keating (RITUAL, POD, DARLING) is about to debut his fourth film in three years, CARNAGE PARK, at the Sundance Film Festival. An homage to 70s survival thrillers like DELIVERANCE, the pic stars Ashley Bell (THE LAST EXORCISM) and Pat Healy (THE INNKEEPERS) and focuses on a trio of people who find themselves hunted by a sniper in the middle of nowhere. Today the first clip from the film has debuted via Entertainment Weekly and can be seen below.

The clip exudes a very eerie, unnerving vibe that I’m immediately drawn to. If the rest of the film gives off this atmosphere, prepare to call CARNAGE PARK one of the must-see genre films of 2016.

The film depicts a harrowing fight for survival after a pair of wannabe crooks botch a bank heist and flee into the desert with their hostage Vivian, where they inexplicably stumble upon Carnage Park, a remote stretch of wilderness occupied by a psychotic ex-military sniper.

CARNAGE PARK premieres tomorrow, Tuesday, January 26th.
