Original The Strangers actor calls sequel a piece of sh*t, jump scare movie

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

I haven't had the chance to check out THE STRANGERS: PREY AT NIGHT as of yet, but I remember being a bit upset back a few months ago when I heard that the original actors that portrayed our trio of masked killers weren't returning for the sequel.

Well, it turns out one of the said actors wasn't happy about it either. Kip Weeks, who originally played The Man in the Mask, recently spoke with our buddies over at DC and didn't hold back on his sour feelings toward the new movie.

Kip Weeks:

I had a long back and forth with one of the producers. I told him, “You destroyed an art form.” I told him: “You have no idea what it means to create a character from its core. You made a piece of shit, jump scare movie without realizing you had gold in your hands."

So what should the producers have done differently?

They could have made a movie about “The Strangers”: where they came from and why they became killers. Instead, they made it about some bullshit family and wasted Christina Hendricks’ acting skills. The fans wanted depth and story and honesty. They gave them shit.

Wow, dude. Don't hold back now tell us how you REALLY feel. But seriously, I can understand the man is upset about the film, but again I haven't see n the sequel yet so I cannot comment on the quality.
