Playmates on the run to PK!

Last Updated on July 28, 2021

We just acquired a song (named Cocaine Sweetheart) from a band called
PLAYMATES ON THE RUN, for our Indie vigilante film
PAIN KILLER.
When I surfed around the net, I couldn’t believe that there wasn’t more awareness about this all around solid band. So here I am spreading the love and urging you to check out the Trip-Hop-ish duo of
Pits and Gali.

Here’s the band’s Bio:
Playmates on the Run started in 2003, when Pits (Also known as ESB,) met Gàli, an English writer and singer. Pits had been involved for 3 years in organizing and playing for big techno parties in squatted military barracks in the South of France called Les Diables Bleus. Soon the Playmates on the Run music started to sound more and more drum n bass and kitsch electropunk, in a very dark way. In 3 years they’ve done over 50 concerts and festival appearance in the south east of France.

A first 8 tracks CD was made, in 2003, some Playmates tracks, some ESB, called Freedom for Beats, this CD was distributed by 3lowershop in San Fransisco. In 2004, a video clip called Farewell, was released on the Ethnopaire compilation, (with Beruriers Noir) on the Folklore de la Zone Mondiale label. After 18 months of work they finished their first Playmates on the Run album, with 14 tracks. Beginning 2006 there is a new 4 tracks single called Point Blanc Come Back. They have been working on a second album for more than a year, release will happen when it happens!
