Set video from Rob Zombie’s Lords of Salem gives us a look at Maria Conchita Alonso

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

I know a lot of you out there have mixed feelings for Rob Zombie as a filmmaker. Actually it seems aside from his core group of fans, most people hate his work. Now while I’ve never really been a big fan of his music, I’ve come to appreciate his filmmaking. Actually the only Zombie film I can really appreciate is THE DEVIL’S REJECTS but I suppose that’s enough?

So with that being said it should come as no surprise that THE LORDS OF SALEM isn’t really doing much for me. Don’t get me wrong… I’m somewhat intrigued by the film and I’ll definitely be checking it out sooner or later, but I’m not foaming at the mouth to see it… you know? Regardless I’m here to give you all every inkling of an update on the project so.. here I am.

And with that comes a brand new behind the scenes video from the film that seems to be making the rounds on this here internet today. What do we get in this new video? Why a look at Maria Conchita Alonso’s character, that’s what! And by the looks of it she’s playing some sort of twisted artist… Just scroll on down below to get a look at the video for yourself or tap it over in our videos section.

Heidi, a blonde rock chick, DJs at a local radio station, and together with the two Hermans (Whitey and Munster) forms part of the “Big H Radio Team”.

A mysterious wooden box containing a vinyl record arrives for Heidi, “a gift from the Lords”. She assumes it’s a rock band on a mission to spread their word. As Heidi and Whitey play the Lords’ record, it starts to play backwards, and Heidi experiences a flashback to a past trauma.

Later Whitey plays the Lords’ record, dubbing them the Lords of Salem, and to his surprise, the record plays normally and is a massive hit with listeners.

The arrival of another wooden box from the Lords presents the Big H Team with free tickets, posters and records to host a gig in Salem. Soon Heidi and her cohorts find that the gig is far from the rock spectacle they’re expecting: the original Lords of Salem are returning, and they’re out for BLOOD.

Along with Alonso, the film also stars Sid Haig, Bruce Davidson, Christopher Knight, Ken Foree, Billy Drago, Richard Lynch, John Five, Lisa Marie, Sheri Moon Zombie, Ernest Thomas, Michael Shamus Wiles, Barbara Crampton, Brandon Cruz, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Michael Berryman, Patricia Quinn, Judy Gleeson and Dee Wallace Stone. Considering Zombie took some time off from THE LORDS OF SALEM’s post-production to tour with MegaDeath this thing is still without a release date. Hopefully that changes as soon as Zombie gets back to work.
