Audiences certainly seem to be tired of found footage flicks lately, but with the rise of the GoPro, the genre has never been more timely. The trailer for the upcoming thriller CAGE DIVE knows this, basing its entire premise around the trend of people filming themselves performing extreme stunts. It combines that with the vacation-gone-awry trope of horror films since the beginning of time and the newfound popularity of shark films like THE SHALLOWS and MEG, to create what looks like it could be a pretty fun aquatic adventure horror movie!

In CAGE DIVE:

Three friends, filming an audition tape for an extreme reality game show, take part in shark cage diving. Which soon turns into a catastrophic turn of events, leaving them in great white infested waters, turning their recording into a blood chilling diary of survival and death.

Directed by Gerald Rascionato, CAGE DIVE stars Suzanne Dervish-Ali, Megan Peta Hill, Joel Hogan, and Pete Valley. It will arrive in 2017.
