1st trailer for Danny Boyle's Steve Jobs biopic starring Michael Fassbender

Universal has released a teaser trailer for STEVE JOBS starring Michael Fassbender as the Apple co-founder, and in my opinion this is a great first look at the upcoming film. I've never been a Jobs/Apple worshiper like some, but I'm interested in seeing the biopic because of the talent involved behind and in front of the camera. Danny Boyle directed the movie from a script by Aaron Sorkin (based on the Walter Isaacson's biography Steve Jobs) and besides Fassbender, the film also stars Seth Rogen, Kate Winslet and Jeff Daniels.

"The musicians play the instruments; I play the orchestra."

Official logline:

Set backstage at three iconic product launches and ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac, the film takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution to paint an intimate portrait of the brilliant man at its epicenter.

It'll be interesting to see how Danny Boyle's take on Steve Jobs will compare to the 2013 Ashton Kutcher-led version, but I have a feeling the film will be a major player come awards season. What are your thoughts on the first STEVE JOBS trailer?

STEVE JOBS is set to hit theaters on October 9, 2015.

Looks like it'll be great, but there's already been a few movies about him, its tough to get excited for this.

Surprised how much they got Fassbender to look like the guy. I really wasn't expecting that. Being as I have never had a desire to see an Ashton Kutcher movie, I haven't watched JOBS. Especially after reviews weren't stellar. Plus it sounds like this movie has a different approach than the usual biopic structure.

I can't wait for this movie

JOBS with Kutcher was okay...I didn't hate it but it was just eh. This is going to be amazing and the format that the movie possesses is something that Sorkin's writing is going to take full advantage of for sure. It is going to be fast with a lot of walking. I can see the film getting nominations but not a lot of wins unless Fassbender totally owns it as Jobs.

I'm conflicted

This looks good and the cast is great, but I just seen JOBS and that film was pretty great so what's the point. It's like when they made CAPOTE and INFAMOUS. Both good films, but they were the same exact story. At least HITCHCOCK and THE GIRL were about different times in his life, sort of like a sequel. This just seems redundant.

Looking forward to this one. And as much as big fan I am of Fassbender, I can't help but wonder what Bale would have done with the role.
