A behind-the-scenes trailer & gag reel for Infinity War has already arrived

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Fresh off the announcement that AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR is currently outselling the last 7 MCU movies combined in Fandango pre-ordered ticket sales, Marvel has unveiled a hybrid trailer that includes a behind-the-scenes look at the film, as well as everyone's favorite cinematic delight, a hilarious gag reel. In the footage, Chris Pratt aka Star-Lord is paired with Chris Hemsworth's Thor, as the two discuss the likelihood of Quill officially joining the Avengers team. Next, we're joined by Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts), as she waxes rhapsodic about her "decade-plus" friendship with both Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) and Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan), while being a proud member of the studio's MCU. Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch) also gets in on the B-T-S action, and she talks about the wide range of relationships depicted throughout the franchise.

Following Olsen is BLACK PANTHER's Danai Gurira (Okoye), who speaks openly about what a thrill it's been to act and fight beside a cast of badass, female heroes, while working on the film. Karen Gillan (Nebula) arrives next to share her thoughts about the "extended family feel" of the Marvel universe, to which Benedict Cumberbatch then jokingly expresses his lack of patience for his Infinity War co-star, Chris Pratt. Shortly thereafter, Robert Downey Jr. begins speaking about his growing fascination with Cumberbatch, which is then followed by Mark Ruffalo explaining that he sees Downey as "the Godfather" of the franchise.

There's also this really great bit at the very end, with Downey commenting on his overall Marvel experience, that I have to admit got me a little choked up. I can't believe we've all been riding this roller coaster for over ten years, my friends, and what a ride it's been. As you can see, the trailer also includes tons of never-before-scene shots and locales from the film, which should serve to get you even more pumped for when AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR lands in theaters on April 27th!

Have you got your tickets pre-ordered for opening weekend? I sure hope so, otherwise you're venturing into major spoiler territory. Set those filters accordingly, folks, it's almost time to fo to war!
