Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel arrives on the set of Avengers 4

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

For a while now, fans have been curious as to whether or not Brie Larson's Carol Danvers a.k.a. CAPTAIN MARVEL would be making an appearance in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR ahead of her 2019 solo film debut. However, the 90s setting of her solo cinematic adventure has the proverbial Magic 8-Ball saying "Outlook not so good."  With that being said, I'm happy to report that those looking forward to seeing the "higher, faster, further, more" hero in action will be delighted to know that Brie Larson has recently been spotted on the set of AVENGERS 4.

Ealier today, Atlanta Filming's official Twitter account shared the following:

According to Atlanta Filming, Larson will appear in AVENGERS 4 as a photographer. With the timeless comic book company throwing everything (including the kitchen sink) into AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, one has to wonder just how much awesomeness fans can take before their Marvel-loving brains explode. Personally, I've got a really great feeling about CAPTAIN MARVEL, and believe that she's going to factor into the MCU in a major way.

And hey, if Marvel plays their cards right, Larson's Danvers could help pave the way for more of Marvel's ladies to get their own series of films. Imagine for a moment if characters like Black Widow, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan) and Spider-Woman were each given a chance to slay at the box office. A move like that would no doubt be a revelation for theater goers, and I say bring it on!

CAPTAIN MARVEL will arrive in theaters on March 8, 2019. Meanwhile, AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR will land in theaters on May 4, 2018
