Chris Pratt says he's excited for fans to see the park in Jurassic World

07.28.2014

Chris Pratt's GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY opens this week and a sequel was announced at SDCC over the weekend, but there's another upcoming movie starring the actor people are very eager to see as well: Colin Trevorrow's JURASSIC WORLD. In an interview with Total Film, Chris Pratt was asked what is the one thing he is the most excited about fans seeing in the JURASSIC WORLD.

I'm excited about people seeing the park. The park is up and running. John Hammond's dream has come true, and there's now a park with 20,000 visitors a day. And everything he dreamed of and more is there at the park, and you will see it as an audience member when you see this movie. And then you will see it get torn down (laughs).

Chris Pratt went on to talk about how as a big fan of the film series, it's a bit strange now being part of an actual JURASSIC movie.

Oh, I'm a huge fan. HUGE fan. One of my very most influential movies as a kid was Jurassic. It is pretty surreal, but it's kind of been the theme recently I think, like these moments that are very surreal are becoming real, and now I'm not just a fan of the franchise, I'm a peer of its artistic creators, you know? And that feels really good.

Seeing a fully functioning park should be pretty damn cool, however I'm still a little worried about JURASSIC WORLD. Not saying it's going to be terrible (which would be ridiculous since we've barely seen anything from the film), but I am slightly concerned about Colin Trevorrow's new movie. I'm hopeful Trevorrow and company will prove all my worrying was for nothing, and JURASSIC WORLD will be an awesome ride.

In case you missed it, a few vehicles from JURASSIC WORLD were revealed at SDCC, and a new poster was also released, so be sure to check them out.

JURASSIC WORLD will be in theaters on June 12, 2015.

This looks good, but that picture for the article made me think, Chris Pratt=Nathan Drake. Uncharted.

Everything I've seen about this movie makes me more excited. And with 20,000 visitors a day, the collateral damage between man and dinosaur has the potential to be much higher.

I hope the new movie would be, at least, as great as The Lost World.

Good for Pratt for making it big and making a name for himself. We need more people of his caliber in films.

I for one am very excited to see him in this and Guardians of the Galaxy and taking names while doing so.

This could be JP3 levels of suck.

I don't like a lot of what I am hearing about this movie. Even the shitty bland grey vehicles look dumb. Why couldn't they keep the classic Yellow and Green colors?

Because this isn't the 90's, it's 2014. Not trying to come off as a jerk, but it can easily be explained. The film is striving for familiar aspects from the original, but also creating its own path as it should. I don't know about you, but I don't wanna watch the same Jurassic Park film over & over. So yeah, it is good they are changing some things. Hopefully for the better & not for the worse.

At least I can appreciate it doesn't seem to be a cookie cutter sequel like JP3 (which was an exercise of cut-and-past storyline from The Lost World).
