Do the Due with Zach and RDJ in these clips from Due Date

It must have seemed obvious for director Todd Phillips to pair his breakout star of THE HANGOVER with another hot Hollywood commodity for another raunchy R-rated comedy.

We'll find out how the Zach Galifianakis/Robert Downey Jr. duo does delivering the laughs when DUE DATE hits theaters next weekend, but for now here's another sample to see if you're feeling the funny.

The movie has Downey as a dad-to-be, joined by Galifianakis (plus a canine and canned man) on a cross-country trek to be with his wife at the birth of his first child. Hilarity ensues, or at least abuse and general awkwardness.

Extra Tidbit: I just realized Phillips got his start with a documentary about vile punk singer G.G. Allin who, like many of the director's films since, was known for drugs and bodily functions.

Wow, Phillips actually paid Allin's bond to get him back on stage so he could shoot the documentary. Then Allin died on the street during the following tour, thankfully before murdering any children or anything beforehand.

caught a preview a few days ago. sure some of it was pretty funny, but unfortunately i felt i'd seen a lot of it already by having seen the trailer.

It looks a little too much like Plains, Trains and Automobiles, and I wasn't a big fan of the Hangover, but you could probably film Galifianakis and RDJ playing Battleship for two hours and it'd be pretty funny.

I think the movie looks fantastic. RDJ and Zach G. look like a great team. Each trailer has been funnier than the last and I love the fact that RDJ is going to be sharing a couple of scenes again with Foxx, since they kicked ass in one of my favorite movies, "The Soloist". This movie is going to do well, and I guarantee you it will have "legs".
