Strike Back below!
by: Paul Tassi Nov. 2, 2009

Behold the first full length trailer for Dreamworks' next animated feature, HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON. Rather than throwing a large group of smirking animals together in some hilarious situation, DRAGON is going a slightly down different path, featuring a mix of both humans AND creatures.

But of course, the typical Dreamworks celebrity voice cast is present and accounted for, albeit a bit less A-list than usual. We’ve got Gerard Butler, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Craig Ferguson, Kristen Wiig, America Ferrera with Jay Baruchel voicing the main dragon trainer, Hiccup. I don’t think that’s a celebrity list that’s going to be particularly distracting, though I’m not sure how I feel about Baruchel’s oddly altered voice in the trailer.

Check it out below or head over to Yahoo! for an HD look.

Extra Tidbit: I thought Gerard Butler was going to be the dragon, but sadly this is not the case.

So far this looks like it could be promising. Kind of a medieval version of Free Willy or something. Okay, that may not sound like an endorsement, depending on your taste, but then, hey, I don't go see every animated movie that comes out these days.

Looks interesting. I'm not so sure about the dragon's look. He's too black and his face looks like some zoo lizard.

Is it "Dragonheart" for kiddies?

BTW, I liked "Dragonheart". The soundtrack is amazing, did you guys hear it?

Looks like fun!
Dreamworks seems to really be comming up in the business with these new animated movies, not that the earlier work was bad but it seemed like they would have a bad film after a good one but recentley they've been delivering good films, this movie looks like lots of fun.

dreamworks swings and misses on half their movies, Pixar need not be worried.

Looks kind of cool...way better than say Bee Movie or Over the Hedge. I think Dreamworks is on the right path...their upcoming slate is looking pretty impressive.
