Troy: Re-Cut

According to this Variety report, Germany has already seen a theatrical re-release of Wolfgang Petersen’s new cut of TROY. Petersen spent three months re-tooling his 162 minute epic with more sex and violence, creating what he ultimately visioned when he initially came onboard the project. Petersen says, “It’s very violent, but that’s Homer and ‘The Iliad.'” It’s also Detroit. If all goes well, he hopes to re-release beyond Germany and to have a DVD released by the end of this year. He says, “Don’t we all want a second chance? That’s what’s great about DVD.” Tell that to Don Imus.
