Exclusive 1:1 Interview: 3 Days to Kill Star Kevin Costner!

1 year agoby:
100%

Kevin Costner is one of those actors who you tend to forget has been a part of some truly remarkable films. From DANCES WITH WOLVES to BULL DURHAM and even JFK, the man has an impressive career. With his strong performance in last year’s MAN OF STEEL, it is great to see that the actor is back in the spotlight. And with this weeks 3 DAYS TO KILL, he plays a hired killer who must take on one last job to save his own life.

Sitting across from this iconic actor/director was a fantastic experience. During our conversation I had mentioned this character is almost a modern day cowboy although he doesn’t see him that way. We discussed creating the character and working with his co-stars and director. It is nearly impossible to sit across from Mr. Costner and not be awestruck but this fine gentleman’s career. If you’d like to see him opposite Amber Heard and Hailee Steinfeld, check out 3 DAYS TO KILL opening Friday at a theatre near you.

The film isn't great. Costner is okay in it but he can't match Liam Neeson's intensity; clearly the intention. It's tonally very inconsistent, struggling to meld a potentially heart-warming father-daughter relationship drama with a spy thriller. I'm gonna echo Soloist in that I would love to see him get behind the camera again.

Would love to see him direct another Western or Baseball film.
