First pic from Fast Six features The Rock and Gina Carano just hanging out and looking bad ass

The Fast and the Furious franchise is alive and kicking with no further proof needed than this Twitpic of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Gina Carano on the set of the FAST SIX, both looking like a couple of bad ass cops ready to take down some bad ass car thiefs.  Well, they steal more than cars now, but still...

You're under arrest, sugar:

The FF franchise had a fun start and then kind of just clunked along until the fourth film, which reunited the cast with veteran stars Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez.  Since then the title has shrank, but the action has grown, with FAST FIVE taking the cake as the best of the series.  With a planned number of sequels to follow FAST SIX, it doesn't look like the series will be hitting the brakes anytiime soon.  And that's okay, as long as they continue to bring the mindless fun and frenetic action, I'm down.

FAST SIX, starring Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster, Dwayne Johnson, Gina Carano, Luke Evans, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Joe Taslim (THE RAID), and possibly Rihanna (unconfirmed) is puts the pedal to the metal on May 24, 2013.

Extra Tidbit: I was really impressed with Carano in Haywire, which is an underrated flick in my opinion. It was a lot of fun and showed off Carano's charisma and presence. I look forward to what she brings to the table with her upcoming projects.

The Rock was a badass in the previous film. I'm hoping for a rematch with Vin Diesel, maybe throw Gina and Joe Taslim into the mix this time around.

Btw if someone told me 10 years ago that I would be eagerly waiting for the sixth movie in the Fast and Furious franchise, I would laugh at their face.

Maybe its just me, but I prefer Rock more WITH his hair, like in Rundown. Maybe he'll grow it back in the future.

Anyway, do I even have to say I'm looking forward to this film?

Who would you rather fight is the question because while the Rock is jacked Gina Carano was actually a professional fighter.

Haywire was a terrific flick and Gina is not only stunning but talented. Can't wait to see what she brings.

BTW how the fuck do you not rip through 5 shirts a day Dwayne? Your arms are fucking massive.

How they got the Fast and the Furious franchise back on the road has got to be one of the all-time great success stories. It seemed to really be flagging with "Tokyo Drift" which appeared to be a lot like those direct-to-DVD sequel flicks, but then Fast and Furious and Fast Five proved that there were legs yet - and wheels. Awesome casting decisions on this one, great that Gina Carano is in this (wouldn't she just be great in an Expendables movie?) and would love to see Joe Taslim from the Raid
