I might have been the only one who wasn't blown away by the last poster for THE DARK KNIGHT. And today a new crop of international posters are online and they do nothing for me either. There's one that's similar in design to the US version except with the Batpod (see teaser below) and then three character posters for Batman, Joker and Harvey Dent/Two Face that look like they were created by an 8th-grader who just got Photoshop for his birthday. So while I'm not giddy over these posters, I'm sure the new trailer (which goes online later tonight) will be enough to sway my opinion to pro-TDK again. I am really disappointed with these. Even the ones for Batman Begins I never really got into.



These poster feel so cliche.



From the posters ONLY, it is starting to feel like another Joel Schumacher kiddy carnival. GOD I hate Joel Schumacher....not even worth looking up how to spell his name right.

im diggin it
the posters look great! i like the concept of the one sheets but it just doesnt seem too realistic. its too simple, but still effective. harveys one sheet got me exited! i was trying to look as close as i can to see if there was some scarring he was covering up with that pin...damn! overall, its gonna be an awesome birthday for me this year! hehehe

Ive been hyped up for this movie for the longest time and ive agreed with everything theyve shown us for the most part but my biggest problem is the fact that it almost seems like they are advertising for the earlier 90s Batflicks. Almost cheapening the hype.



And I think theyve shown too much of him riding on that boring looking "Batpod" thats what I could do without.

and yeah, I've said a lot about what i don't like about this movie (they bombard us with this stuff so surely they don't expect everyone to just eat it up), and I've said the following before as well... the batpod is shit. im sure we all see the same thing and it just doesnt make any sense, especialy in what nolan calls a realistic movie. this is the most restarded bat-device since the...

You know at first I was pretty much gonna post about how you just seemed to be overly negative on The Dark Knight promotion...but my god your so right. The designs are effective enough in their simplicity, but they're just terribly terribly put together and just look ridiculous. They can't be real.



And how did I somehow miss there was a trailer coming? Thats so awesome.

Only the Harvey one looks kinda cool. All the others looks fake and not on pair with the first ones released. And am I the only one who thinks that bat pod-whatever is idiot? maybe I am. Well, let's hope the hype isn't too much and the movie delivers, although Begins wasn't an example of masterpiece.

Batpod one is cool, but as for the others, one word,



FAKE!!!



I really hope these aren't genuine, the only relevant one (as said before) is Dent, and the only cool one is The Joker. The Batman one looks so SO fake!

Posters aren't very good
I'm in the same boat as you Mike. The new domestic one-sheet doesn't do much for me either, and these new international ones aren't any better.



The domestic poster could of been better if the text didn't look like a blind person put it all together. There are just way too many actors, and there was no need for two bat logos.

It's nice to finally see Harvey Dent included to the Dark Knight promotion, overall the posters are pretty cool, especially the Batpod one, I like the character posters for Batman and Harvey but I wish they could have thought out a different pose or theme for the Joker poster, other than that I like it.

The characters posters are pretty sweet. The one I don't really dig is the one with the Batpod. Other than that, I'd take the Joker one any day of the week.

Fakes?
The only that I think is real (and looks like a toy ad a.k.a. lame) is the one with the bike. The rest look really bad; despite a decent concept they're poorly executed.

THEY'RE OKAY...
The posters look nice. The best is still the one that came out first, with the burning bat symbol. They may not be all that attractive, but they pretty much convey a dark tone for the flick.

I actually dig the character posters. They're simple and effective. Better than the busy, over-'shopped stuff that usually comes out for these types of films. I especially like the longer poster with all three major players out and "showing their cards".
