Google: The Movie. No seriously, a movie about Google.

With THE SOCIAL NETWORK, the so-called “Facebook Movie,” hitting theaters this October, producers in Hollywood are looking to other popular internet success stories to turn into movies. While you may have seen the parody trailers for Twitter and MySpace movies, it seems as though they’re serious about making a GOOGLE movie.

Producer Michael London (SIDEWAYS) has optioned the rights to the book “Googled: The End of the World As We Know It,” which tells the story of Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page. While SOCIAL NETWORK is a somewhat unflattering portrait of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, GOOGLED would be nicer to its subjects. One of Brin and Page’s credos while starting the company was “You can make money without doing evil” and the movie will focus on how two “nice guys” made one of the most popular and successful companies in the world.

But can a flattering movie about two billionaires who are genuinely nice guys be interesting? THE SOCIAL NETWORK is fascinating because of all the backstabbing, sniping, fighting and nastiness that went into creating Facebook. Do you think you’d be interested in a movie about Google and its founders?
