Keanu Reeves talks about the return of Wyld Stallyns and Bill & Ted 3

It’s been almost two decades since Bill S. Preston, Esq. and “Ted” Theodore Logan last tripped through time and space and rocked your face, but wouldn’t a third BILL & TED adventure be most excellent?

Stars Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter have both been intermittently teasing us with the possiblity over the past year, depending on whether they and the writers could come up with an idea they collectively liked, and it sounds as though the story might be coming together.

As Ted/Keanu updates MTV: “I believe the writers are six weeks away from a draft.”

Reeves was hesitant to offer details, but then admitted it picked up after BOGUS JOURNEY. “When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn’t happened,” he said. “So they’ve now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there’s an element of time and they have to go back.

Doesn’t sound like a heinous idea at all, but we’ll see if it ever comes together. Reeves is currently gearing up for the period action movie 47 RONIN, and Winter is putting together a 3D remake of THE GATE.
